Serenity decided that she wanted to be Vulpix for Halloween. The whole family is really excited by Pokemon Go, so I was thrilled to get to make a pokemon costume =) And Vulpix was really fun, those fancy tails were a challenge. I am really happy with how it turned out. The biggest thrill for Serenity was when a group of kids saw her across the greenbelt and started running toward her and Donovan with their phones shouting, “Vulpix! Vaporeon! We’ve gotta catch them!” =) They were very excited about collecting LOTS of Halloween candy this year, and they enjoyed trading for their favorites and passing a few off to Mama and Daddy =)
Donovan originally wanted to be Black Widow for Halloween. But after Serenity settled on being Vulpix, he eventually decided he wanted to be a Pokemon too. He went through a few, including Umbreon, before he picked Vaporeon! I’m so glad he chose that one, it ended up being really cute! I put an elastic loop on his tail so he could wear it without it dragging on the ground, but he figured the purpose behind that was so he could do a Tail Whap! Maybe a Tail Slap. It’s one of Vaporeon’s attacks. It was too cute! He was so happy being Vaporeon.
Maia actually went trick or treating this year! In the costume I made her last Halloween, which she loves now =) I am so happy! She even got some candy and enjoyed filling her pumpkin bag =)
