December 17th: Play doh day!I bought a few new tubs of play-doh for today, and a Millenium Falcon play-doh set. Oh, and an Elsa and Anna figurine in case we wanted Frozen play-doh. The kids LOVED it. Eric brought Maia into our room in the morning and set her down. She was running to get a hug from me with a big smile on her face and then she spotted the playdoh. She took an abrupt 90 degree turn, grabbed a tub and said "Open? Open?" =) Serenity asked why we didn't have play-doh day every year for an Advent activity. Maia spent hours squishing the dough. So now all the new play doh is pretty much brown from all the mixing, but it was so worth it for the hours of joy. And Donovan adores the Millenium Falcon. He and Serenity made a whole fleet of star destroyers (a set of three for Leia, and a set of 3 for Darth Vader.) They were making up amazing stories and space battles all day. The set I got put faces on the jars of playdoh, which I think is genius as kids love playing with the containers and lids too! Such a great day! (At least until Maia decided today was no diaper day. I am going to have to duct tape her into her diaper.)
