December 13th:
Today was the sort of day that nothing went quite according to plan. It was raining in the morning so we decided not to take Tina and Colen to the farm. We had a lovely quiet morning playing board games and visiting. Serenity and Eric took them to the airport, and Donovan and I got started on Movie Night early watching the Christmas episode of Paw Patrol that he loves... twice. Then Eric and I cleaned the garage, which we had been avoiding for months but it took all of an hour. We were supposed to go to the Discovery Lab for a birthday party after that, but Serenity was laying on the couch with absolutely no energy when we got back in from the garage. There are so many fun things happening this week that she will be sad to miss so we abandoned all plans and gave her lots of fluids and sleep. By bedtime she was bouncing around the house like normal so maybe I overreacted. But while Maia was napping the older kids and Eric and I snuggled up on the couch and watched Frozen Fever and Tangled Ever After amid lots of giggles, and then Prep and Landing, which DZ calls the alien Christmas movie. And Eric and I ended the day with Love Actually, so a nice day all in all =)
