December 12th: Eric's Birthday! And a candy cane hunt =)
Happy Birthday to Eric! Eric got to pick all the things today =) We played lots of Kings of Tokyo, which is the game the kids insisted he needed at Target. And they were right, it is a really fun game! Tina and Colen got Eric a bouncy ball science kit that was a blast. Eric, Tina, Colen and the kids went hiking on Turkey Mountain. I didn't go as I am still trying to let my ankles heal, so I hid candy canes for the kids to find while they were gone. Maia LOVED the hike. Or she loved picking up rocks, throwing rocks in the lake, and trying to walk into the lake. She walked almost the whole way back by herself. She'd let Eric walk ahead a bit, and then run giggling to catch up. Barefoot. Well, we put tights on her so she couldn't take that off, but she ditched the shoes in the parking lot.
Mom came over and brought Eric a birthday dinner from Ted's. While she was here we opened the Christmas presents she got the kids. Donovan kind of wished they were all his. He loves his gears, but he also wanted Serenity's legos and he played with the fox from Maia's animal set all evening. Too cute.
