Hi.

Welcome!

December 9th: Gingerbread Houses

December 9th: Gingerbread House Party

This year we decided to do gingerbread houses with Donovan's classmates. Donovan was so excited that his friends from school were coming over! The most exciting part though was that Max rode home in the car with us. Because I love my son a lot I moved his car seat to the back so he could sit next to Max. He was so happy and I was grinning the whole way home listening to their chatter. And screaming. Really happy kids. =)

Gingerbread house decorating went smoothly. DZ, Serenity, Max, Hudson and Benjamin had a blast! And their houses turned out really cute. I think after four years of gingerbread houses I am getting really good at this. I glued the houses together in an hour and getting supplies was a breeze. The hardest part is finding enough horizontal surfaces in my house to hold it all!

DZ was particularly excited to have animal crackers to decorate his house this year =)

Serenity's house. One of her gingerbread people had a broken leg. She said it was going into surgery. I love her rainbow star roof!

After the house party was done, Serenity and I headed out to Daisies. The girls worked together to fill goodie baskets to take to a local women's shelter. Such a great service project! The troop leader made a point of saying that we were doing this even though there wouldn't be any recognition, we wouldn't even get to see the girls receive their gifts. But we would just do it because it's a good thing to do. Such a wonderful thing to learn!
