December 8th: Giant Gingerbread House
I almost got distracted from December Daily by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D! Joss Whedon is dangerous.
Last night I made a gingerbread house out of cardboard. It was just as much fun as I hoped! The kids played in it all day and after Serenity got home from school they spent hours decorating it! While Serenity was at school, I asked DZ if he wanted to add candies or gingerbread people to the house. He promptly informed me that he wanted to add dinosaurs. Sweet! So we cut out some paper plate dinos, added some cupcake wrappers, and that entertained us for Maia's whole nap. =) Donovan wrote T-Rex on his Dino, and the dinosaur ate a lot of gingerbread people. Way fun. He wants them loose so he can play with them, so they're just tucked into the cupcake wrapper decorations. Serenity wanted to decorate the wreath, and they cut out lots of berries to glue into it. While I was feeding Maia they started coloring on the room. Serenity drew dozens of gumdrops, and DZ colored a pattern onto the cupcake wrappers. His teachers say he is very meticulous with his coloring. He wants to make sure it's all done!
