December 6th Today was very low-key...for me. Our advent activity was Christmas Shopping. I wanted to give the kids a chance to do some shopping. Eric took Serenity shopping after her ice skating lesson... and he went to the mall! I was shocked. Appalled. =) I offered to take Donovan out shopping but he opted for amazon.com. That's my boy ;) Actually, he usually loves to go to Target and shop, but we have been there a lot the last week collecting holiday stuff.
We spent the rest of the day hanging out at home. I put together some excellent cord control thanks to bluelounge.com, hung a branch off my peach tree inside and decorated it (actually completed a pinterest pin, go me!) and played some serious UNO with the kids. I also got to read more Christmas books on my couch. Maia especially loves the Christmas Parade. She bounces with excitement when I get it out and when I read the first page she looks at my face and just gives me the biggest, sweetest grin. I love it! She's snuggling with Daddy now getting a little Sesame Street music. We don't watch the show, just the music videos, but she's mesmerized by it.
