December 15th: Snowball Fight! I saw this hilariously fun idea on pinterest, and planned to sew up a bunch of snowballs so we could have our own indoor snowball fight. However, when I found a set on Amazon I decided my sewing time could be better spent elsewhere, and just bought them. I'm so glad I did! We had a blast, giggling and tossing balls all over the place. Donovan loved it, of course, but even I had a blast! Serenity also used them as marshmallows on her pretend campfire as she camped out with Daddy at night.
Serenity and I made another ornament for the tree, an angel, and read another passage in the bible. She turned out pretty!
The weather was so nice we decided to try out this Christmas Scavenger Hunt. We are definitely doing this again! It was so much fun! We just walked around our neighborhood and found most of the things on the list. We decided we should add penguins and polar bears to the list. Possibly nutcrackers too. Serenity wants to keep hunting for more from her list, so we may add a drive around a few neighborhoods as well.
We got in a few rounds of Eric's new Castle Panic game today, and Serenity played it twice with Eric! She loves it, and he's so excited to share a new strategy game with her!
We've been slowly moving all the furniture out of the downstairs in preparation for our new floors. Now the only thing in the living room is the Christmas tree and Serenity and Eric's mattresses. I love it! I wonder if any of the furniture will be coming back in the house =) It's so open! Fun fun!
