This past weekend Serenity and I decked the halls. She was such an enthusiastic helper! She said over and over, "I LOVE decorating with you Mama!" I love decorating with her too. We fluffed up the tree and strung the lights, and then we exclaimed over every ornament on our tree. We have so many special ones that we've made already! She loved seeing the photo ornaments with pictures in them. She took special care to make sure the picture of Raegan when she was a baby hung next to Serenity's baby picture. And then Baby Donovan needed Baby Barrett for company. So sweet! This year I even took a chance on putting up more of the pretty crystal ones our friends in California helped make me a few years back. More rainbow makers. =)
I put up the lights outside at her request while she was getting ready for bed with Eric. Then I took her outside and she was so happy! I told her we'd put lights on our pitiful bushes to make them look prettier. Now she tells me they are happy bushes.
This morning Donovan got up early and didn't even ask for a show, he just snuggled me and stared at the tree. I love the quiet time together!
