I have so many things to be thankful for =) I am thankful for a daughter who is so loving and affectionate she cuddles in my lap, gives hugs and kisses to me every day, and sings songs about how much she loves her Mama. She tells her brother, "ohhh, I love you little DZ" in a sweet little voice.
I am thankful for my baby boy, who lets me hold him with his whole body melted into mine, so trusting and adoring. He looks for his sister when she's at school, and follows her into time out saying "my sis! MY sis!"
I am thankful for my husband, who cherishes this time with our children as much as I do.
I am thankful for crazy, noisy family get-togethers, where cousins play rambunctious games of soccer and tag. Cooking together and celebrating together is just so wonderful.
This year we made a gratitude tree. Here's a list of what we were thankful for this year. (Donovan had help from his sister in deciding what he was thankful for.) I was planning to write one thing a day, but Serenity was so excited we filled half the leaves up the first day. Then she started writing her very own thankful leaves, and drawing pictures on them too. I was thrilled! And so thankful =)
Serenity's that she wrote herself: Rainbows, balls, dancing, Rectangles, Polka Dots, Hugs
Serenity's that she dictated to me: There are so many fun things to do outside like Balance Beams. Everything. My computer and Little Einsteins. Sweet Mama, Daddy and Donovan. Our house that protects us from rain.
Donovan is thankful that Dinosaurs Roar. He's thankful for Backyardigans and Elmo, Upside Down,
Eric: My Greatsome Daughter. Energetic Children, Games with Family
Chrissie: Sleepy Donovan cuddling in my bed. Date nights with Eric. Brother and Sister playing together and giggling. My Sweet Children. Snuggles, "I love you's" and hugs from my girl.
