We're going to have to invest in more overalls for Donovan. Yup, he's spending his days with his hand in his diaper =)

Donovan has learned to come running to me for kisses when he gets hurt. I love it! Nothing is sweeter than being able to comfort your baby. =)
He really loves elephants right now and makes adorable elephant noises, raising his arm for a trunk. We have an elephant headband, and he'll put it on his head fifteen times in a row. There are a few of our shows that have elephants in them, and Serenity loves finding them for Donovan.
Donovan is taunting me. I walk in the other room and I hear him call "Maaaama" Come back to find he's crawled on the big brown table. Twice now.
I got him a new book at the book fair, Dinosaur Roar. It has a button that roars and shaped dinosaur pages. It was a really big hit! I think he's going to enjoy being a dinosaur for Halloween. He also got a new Pete the Cat from Grandma, and Llama Llama Time to Share.

So, the teacher at music class today said Donovan was the youngest person she ever saw actually following along in class... He really loves music and dancing. He does a lot of the motions, like making glasses in the glasses song, marching to the dinosaur song, waving his sticks and saying "ahhhh" and "shhhh" when we're waking up our sticks. He's so enthusiastic too, and he often does his little excitement step dance for the next activity.

Donovan is speaking in such long phrases these days! It's just so nice to be able to talk to him more. Some things he says a lot... "ready... catch! Ready, set, go! Hold you Mama. Want... (insert either fruit, cookie, or breakfast bars here usually) "have water? dropped it!". Also many ways of distinguishing balls... dinosaur ball, soft ball, BIG ball. Today he decided it was time to get Serenity from school. He started saying Serenity! Where?!?! Where Serenity!? I would say school, and he'd reply, "where?" So we left a little early to go get "my sis." Oh, and he can say his own name now! Yay!!! He also loves the letter O. He found it on the blocks we made at our baby shower and carried it around for half an hour saying "OOOOOOOOOOOh" He also found the O at Ihop tonight.
He's extremely excited by elephants right now. He makes the cutest elephant noise and puts his arm on his nose for a trunk. He gets very excited whenever he sees them, and frequently asks for the Backyardigans episode that has an elephant in it. And then he says "again!" when it's done.
There is one Dora show we watched the other day... it's called Coqui. About a little toad that sings "coquiiiiii, coquiiiii, coqui qui qui qui qui. Well, Donovan decided the toad was singing about cookies and stood by the pantry insisting that we get them out. Too funny. Donovan really loves Papa =) That's his favorite place to go if we're leaving the house!
