December 8th Serenity woke up coughing at 5:30 this morning. She was fine once she woke all the way up, but we sat in the steam for a bit and she wanted to go downstairs. So she and I snuggled and cuddled on the couch looking at our Christmas tree until the more reasonable hour of 6:30 am. It was very sweet, I should leave the tree up all year so I’m never bothered by being up in the middle of the night. =)
Donovan and I had a particularly fun session of Christmas Carol singing while he was in the jumperoo. Turns out We Wish You a Merry Christmas is absolutely hilarious =) Wish is really a funny word =)
Today’s activity was Movie Night! And in honor of movie night, we got one of the tins of Christmas popcorn. Can’t have movies without popcorn =) I picked up Shrek the Halls. It was so funny! Very short, but that’s just good with a three year old and a baby that needed a 7pm bedtime. =) The best part was the little gingerbread matching game that was part of the special features though. Serenity kept telling us how Gingy was feeling. “Awww, he’s lonely. Oh, he’s grumpy!” I loved seeing her empathy. =) And then we all danced to “I’m a Believer.” Happy times.
