Hi.

Welcome!

December 9th: Craft Day

12/9/11 Today was craft day!  Serenity saw a shape snowman Henry made yesterday that she totally wanted to make as well.  His was named Tony.  So we made Tony’s cousin, named Shelf.  I also had bought a couple of ornament kits for craft day, a felt tree and a lacing tree.  Serenity said she was sewing when she made the lacing tree and was incredibly focused.  It’s so sweet, whenever I sew things she so wants to help.  When I was working on Christmas presents she pushed the foot pedal of the sewing machine for me.  She puts pins on the pincushion, and once when I was hand sewing I would poke the needle through the fabric and she then pulled the thread through for me.  Made it take a while but she was so thrilled!  And I am thrilled to share the joy with her =)

Today was Donovan’s six month doctor visit.  I have no pictures as I am too busy and stressed at the thought of doctor visits with both kids in tow to want to mess with that.  Even though both kids were perfectly well behaved and extremely nice to the doctors and nurses, still I can’t think about juggling even one more thing.  The doctor said Donovan looks great!  Very healthy, on track developmentally, and all that good stuff.  So yay! He also told me that he’s big enough and mature enough that he shouldn’t need to eat at night, and I shouldn’t let him tell me otherwise.  Ha.  Donovan can do it, but can Mama?  We’ll see.  =)   He’s 21.4 pounds and 28 inches now.  And he did very well with the shots.  He cried of course but then when I picked him up he stopped, and then seemed confused.  He was like, wait, I still hurt, but usually everything is just fine when Mama holds me.  So he whimpered a few more times but was fine and fell asleep in the car, and slept again at home!
