Also in quilting news I have to write about Mom’s quilt project because I’m just so proud of her. A long time ago she announced her desire to use up her stash of fabric (so she can replace it with new stuff). Last year she did something about it. She cut all the fabric into six inch squares and started making quilt tops. I think she ended up with about 20 baby quilts, 40 to 50 regular quilts, and several dog blankets. She already has tied a bunch, and I helped her bind about eight, so she has finished a bunch already. It is such wonderful fun to get to play with laying out quilts and being a part of another one of mom’s mass production projects!
