We have had the most wonderful two weeks, it's going to take more than one article to do a decent update! So before I have to post Serenity's nine month update, I want to write a little about all our exciting activities!! We have done so much the last two weeks it’s hard to know what to write about first. Patricia and Jack threw us an incredible “not going away” party. We all got to create our own Epic Duels Decks! California Universe! We had discussed making decks like these before, but never got around to it. Thanks to Jack and Patricia, now we have! And we get to take all our wonderful friends with us to Oklahoma and pit them against each other in epic battles. =) They are so amazingly thoughtful to have come up with something like this, and to go to all the trouble of making it so perfect for us! We are SO lucky! Everyone had a blast at the deck-making party, and then we got another party to test them out! Eric wouldn’t let anyone play their own decks the first two games. He figured that if they created an insanely powerful deck, they should get to experience the pain firsthand. =) He and Jack are still having fun discussing the decks!  The Mellos came down to visit us and meet Serenity, and then we went up to Danville to visit them at their house! Landon has gotten so big! It was just crazy! He was so sweet with Serenity. Even when she poked him in the face, he just said to me, “I don’t mind.” =) Alan is driving my car to Oklahoma for me! Can you believe it!?! He and Eric have plans for a fun road trip, taking in a ballgame and some sightseeing.    We went with Ann to the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose. We actually went to see the historic buildings but they were mostly closed. Instead, we got to see ducks and fish! Serenity was fascinated, especially when she was up on the bridge looking down at the fish. The light was perfect and she could see them dart and swim! I couldn’t get her to look up for a picture, and if you know Serenity, usually the camera can distract her from anything!!!   Aidan is one year old!! I am so glad we got to stay for his birthday party, it was so much fun to get to celebrate this wonderful boy’s birthday with all his family and friends. Serenity had a great time too. Both kids enjoyed walking the big people around, and Serenity even walked right up to Aidan and tried for a hug. He was a bit sniffly though and tried to dodge her =) She also did a little rock climbing =) I didn’t take too many pictures, but I’m sure Uncle Robert got plenty more! Eric and Jack took advantage of the crazy monkey wheels =)      |
