Serenity is nine months old!!! It's so hard to believe, but wonderful too. The day we left California, Serenity learned how to clap! She wanted to show off one more skill to all her friends there =) Here's a video if you haven't seen it yet. I tried to take nine month pictures of her, but now that she can walk it's a lot harder! Plus she's a bit sniffly. So we ended up with movies today.Serenity is such a happy baby, especially now that she’s crawling and nearly walking. Now, not only does she think she can walk, she thinks she can climb!!
  
When she’s tired now, she rests her head on my shoulder or cuddles with me. It’s such a sweet feeling. She still talks a lot. It’s funny because some days she seems to pick a single sound and repeat it all day. The first sound was Mamamama, as I wrote in the last update. Lately, it’s Gak!! or Goook!!! (Always with the exclamation point.) One day, it was, “Och!” I called her my Scottish baby =) I fed her mango the other day, and it made her pucker her face in a fish face! She did it after every bite! She has been doing it today just for fun though, I think she figured out that it makes Mama laugh every time!!! At her 9 month doctor appointment Serenity was 18.8 pounds and 29 inches. That’s just 50th percentile for weight and 93rd percentile for height! She outgrew her infant seat!!!!
I think she sits up in her sleep sometimes. It’s so strange. She has napped with me, and she sits up, with her eyes still closed, and then she collapses back down. I guess she wants to keep working all those muscles! She sleeps on her stomach now whenever she sleeps alone. Usually with her bottom up in the air. It’s cute but I haven’t wanted to risk taking pictures. No waking the sleeping baby!!! We’ve had a lot more playdates with Henry and Aidan. Here at the park, Aidan and Serenity managed to get their Mom and Dad to bump heads. =) Much fun!
