Christmas Around the World Day 4: China!

China today! When I was researching China I had to text Siqi to confirm this because it seemed too perfect to be true… In China, Santa is often depicted playing the saxophone! Donovan is loving his saxophone this year! We got a saxophone Santa ornament and a musical saxophone playing tree.

Apples are also important for Christmas in China, because the word for peaceful is very close to the word for apple, pingguo. So I put out apples and green apple suckers.

While the kids were in school, I went to the Asian market to grab some green onion pancakes, Haw flakes, and other treats from China to try. The kids actually tasted the things I bought and liked them, which was a little mind boggling for my picky eaters. I rocked Pentatonix new album in the car since it’s also our new music day. Yay Saxophone Santa!

All three kids woke themselves up and got out of bed on their own to check the advent calendar! A Christmas bonus I love!!! 💕
