Denver Zoo
Zoo Day!!! The Denver Zoo was awesome! I especially loved the elephant show, 4D penguin show, and seeing the hyena get her snack ๐. Also met and got to touch a Pancake tortoise named Buttermilk. We rode the carousel, and Sera rode the elephant and Maia rode a painted dog, and they got stuffies from the gift shop to match ๐ฅฐ. The girls were in the mood for pictures today so I have tons! ๐คฉ
Theyโre trying to match the statues =)
Toano the bald eagle! Perfectly matched the adorable necklace Maia got from the mint to hold her pressed penny.
The giraffes were snuggling so the girls did too.
Buttermilk! Maia asked if he was a soft shell because she remembered that this kind of tortoise is lighter than others. She astonishes the zoo guides with all she learned from Wild Kratts. Later we found Short Stack! Buttermilkโs friend.
Mama! Take a picture of me prowling in the cage! Iโll do one better ๐๐๐ฅฐ
Found Okapis for DZ!
These really did make sounds louder!
Maia talked us into this 4D penguin show and it was really fun! And nice and cool ๐
The elephant demonstration was really fun. Sera had no trouble talking me into an elephant stuffie ๐
Brachiation! Sheโs so strong. And she doesnโt care that the metal is hot. Sheโs FINE. =)
Maia did a report on fairy penguins. We always love seeing penguins!
Painted dog! Finally a dog Maia can touch ๐๐๐. There are so many dogs in Denver and sheโs keeping track of how many I donโt let her pet ๐๐ We tracked down a painted dog exhibit. She is definitely missing Finn and wanted a dog from the gift shop. It was so cute when the painted dog popped his head up. We also got to see a hyena fed his bunny lunch!
Maia named her Inja, which is dog in Zulu. ๐ฅฐ
