Sera's 14th Birthday Update
Sera is 14! She is unapologetically herself, whether she goes by Serenity, Sera, or some other magical persona. She loves reading fanfiction and living in her own make believe world. She loves reading, and shared that joy with a bunch of other kids at the Summer Reading Program. She had some big changes to deal with this year, including switching schools, but she has come through it and is such a joy. She loves drama, and has finally gotten the opportunity to use her acting skills in lessons and auditions! I am so excited to see her continue to grow!
Serenity Month By Month:
July 2021: Serenity’s 13th Birthday! She had a progressive party with lots of book shop exploration with family and friends!
July 2021: Fancy family pics. She chose this dress and adores it.
July 2021: California! Once Serenity was fully vaccinated, she got her turn to visit Cali with Eric! They had so much fun together, and it was so wonderful to get to see all our family there after more than a year away!
Back to School 2021: 7th Grade!

October 2021: Snoozing under a weighted blanket with her kiwi pillow and Ravenclaw scarf.
Halloween 2021: Ginny Weasley, Gryffindor Seeker
November 2021: On a zoo visit Sera acquired a Red Panda! She named her Sequoia
December 2021: Sera wears a necklace every day! She got a new set for Christmas, one says Always and one has a deer. Perfect with her Ravenclaw nightgown.
Christmas 2021
January 2022: Curled up by the Richard’s fireplace on New Years! So glad to get back to that tradition!
February 2022: My bookworm! This was such an appropriate book, just what we needed.
March 2022: Serenity loves Genshin Impact, and one of the characters has a braid and bangs, so Serenity decided to rock them too.
April 2022: JMS Blast! Serenity went to one middle school event, and ran into the one person she knows at Jenks, Lillyan! It was fun but very crazy!
Easter 2022: Hogwart Bunny Hunt! Bunny chrysanthemum bunny, wearing the new Ravenclaw diadem from Build a Bear.
May 2022: At her Drama and Voice recital. She sang Speechless from the Aladdin movie and did a skit about a Nasa astronaut warning us about the Alien Unicorn invasion!
May 2021: Renaissance fair! She talked me into an adorable dress and coin skirt from one of the booths.

I love this picture because it’s so much fun when she and her siblings get into a huge project like this, whether it’s drafting Skylanders or a cool talking game. I also love it because she’s cuddling her Nathan Hale’s Hazardous Tales book. She loves those and rereads them often!
Edible Cell Model! Serenity LOVES science! She applied for Advanced Science for 8th grade.
Serenity made this fortune teller at a particularly challenging time. I love that she wants to support and love on others. She is so accepting of everyone and their needs, I hope that she gets the same grace from others.
Braces =) Started off with a lot of drama, but she’s ok with them now.
Sera, Maia and I did AR workshop projects for Christmas gifts! She loved it so much, she definitely wants to go again! The girls were surprised to see my name on the list of frequent crafters. =)
Picture day at a new school! I thought it was awesome that she chose her I’d rather be at Hogwarts shirt =) She finished the year in online school, and she got it done!
I love that she does peace fingers in pictures all the time at this age. Or bunny ears ;)
This is how we do online school, with some help from Lyra and Snowy, several cornbags a day, and lots of fuzzy blankets.
Serenity got this orchid when we went garden shopping on St. Patrick’s day! She’s kept it alive much longer than I could!
