Serenity in May 2019

Serenity had a beautiful Lyrical Dance recital! She is so graceful, and I think this was the best dance style we’ve tried for her as the movements are similar to what she likes to do when she dances by herself. She’s more excited by theater though so that’s the next plan.

Serenity and Maia occasionally let me do fun things with their hair! I’ve been watching a lot of videos on Pinterest to figure it out.

Serenity got watermelon donuts for her school birthday this year! She’s really rolling with this theme =)

Serenity’s class got to go to Bounce U for a last day of school field trip. I was at the zoo with DZ but I got pictures anyway! Yay!

Lorelai and Serenity have been asking to hang out, so we got ice cream after the spring concert! And we ran into so many other USchool friends there, it may become a tradition!

We had some friends over for a playdate when school ended. They made a giant web out of yarn all around our entry, living and dining room. SO FUN!!! IT was a definite challenge to get around. And then it entertained us for days as we unraveled it. We saved most of the nice yarn to reuse =)

At our last Girl Scout meeting of the year, the girls made notes to put on everyone’s locker! They LOVED it! I suggested they do notes for their buddies’ lockers, but they took it further and put one on every locker in school. There was some giggling when certain lockers were decorated…

Union lunch with my girl on the last day of school!!! It’s really funny eating with the kids. The girls across from me had GIANT sodas that they had mixed lemonade and sprite and root beer and all other kinds of drinks in. They asked me not to share those… lol

Finger knitting and watching nature videos with Lorelai =)

Snow cones!!! Serenity gets French Vanilla and Silver Fox, which taste very similar =)

Nearly all of Serenity’s artwork this year has a kitten hidden somewhere in it.
