Cruise Day 3
Cruise Day three!
Another amazing day at sea! The kids slept in! At 6:45 I heard a plaintive whine from Maia that it was too bright so I quickly pulled the blinds shut and magically everyone slept two more hours. Serenity woke first and just crawled into the window sill and watched the ocean with Snowy and Lyra. Just the perfect wake up for my slow to rise girl to start her day. She was ready to meet Ariel by 9:30 and put on her beautiful costume for the visit! She said Ariel asked if she was used to swimming with a tail. She said swimming with legs took some getting used to, it’s much slower. Serenity said she already swims fast with legs so she’s fine with a tail 🥰
When everyone woke up we went to breakfast at cabanas and got just about all the pastries. Eggs, bacon, dZ even got steak and tried it, but mostly he’s all about bacon.
The kids all headed to the kids club for force training! Maia and Serenity ended up crafting, but DZ and Henry did it and loved it! Storm Troopers and an Imperial Officer tried to break into the secret resistance base and they mind tricked him using the force! So coooool.
We took a bunch of pictures in the amazing shirts Patricia made for us. Mine is teal and says friends who Disney together stay together. Maia’s has purple glitter that says watch me , watch me (watch me whip, watch me hei hei.). So cute! And she sang the song! All four little girls had that design and Olivia’s was the same color scheme so they wanted to be near each other for the pics. DZ has a Dino silhouette that says I’m going for fearsome, and he matches Evan. Serenity has a cute anchor with Minnie design. They are all adorable!
Maia and I went to solve the mystery of the plundered paintings. I discovered that they don’t necessarily have the same clues at the same painting or for the same mystery. It’s genius! Eric took the boys to solve the muppet mystery and Serenity went with Henry Patricia and Jack to do origami. She made a boat and a raven.
After group photos we got to see Anna and Elsa! Maia and Serenity brought Anna and Elsa nightgowns and we made DZ an Olaf costume out of a hooded shirt he already owned. It was wonderful! I did my best Anna and Elsa braids ever! . A nice lady saw me with the girls in the hall and gave them LEGO minifigues of Anna and Elsa! It was so fun and sweet! She had cut them open so she could give people figures that matched their costumes. And then I forgot the pen for Maia’s signature book and someone gave me a sharpie to keep. Everyone is just really nice! They put the frozen pictures in the Animators Palace restaurant and all the screens were snowing with ice palace pictures. Anna and Elsa loved the girls hair and Donovan’s Olaf and hoped we had plans to enjoy chocolate :) and all the warm hugs were so happy! We went to see Olaf later in the day and he was startled to see DZ’s costume. It was adorable. I checked the pictures from the photographer and they are the best yet!
In between Frozen visits Juan suggested we sit down to eat at the nearby Royal Court. It was my favorite meal yet, curry with cherry crepes for dessert! . We snuck out while the food was being prepared to get pics with a Tinkerbell. It was a bit of a line but it all worked out well!
After the visit we had family craft time! We made 3d boats with paper and glue dots, and they gave us magnets so we used them to decorate our door. Serenity made Minnie and Eric started Mickey. Eric didn’t finish because he went up to origami for adults and made a really ornate heart and a flapping bird. Then we stayed at Piazza for animal masks. We made like seven of them for our family of five. Oh, and Maia played some uno flip with Evie and Juan.
Maia discovered a squirting water bottle in her fish extender and she is the envy of all the kids. She also got a swimsuit cover up that is really pretty.
We got a snack for the kid that are used to eating much earlier than our dinner time. Maia spent an hour in the pool while the big kids were off with Eric doing I can’t remember what. Maybe brain teasers at the tween club for Henry and Serenity. Evie joined her and they had so much fun Maia wanted to stay in the pool instead of going to the magic show. Eric said DZ LOVED the magic show. Yay!
I gave Maia a bath and she went to the kids club for dress up time and then Dream Bog Princess, a special story time with a visit from Tiana! They were going to get beignets so when I tried to pick her up for dinner she wanted to skip dinner and stay and play. I saw a little bit of a dance at the end of story time. Most of the girls were in fancy dresses but Maia went for Black Widow. Love her! Serenity and Donovan left dinner after their salmon for the kids club. Serenity joined the lion guard with Maia. They got animal face paint, danced with Timon, and practiced animal moves like diving birds and other animal attacks.
Oh! Serenity showed up at dinner with a new friend. Angel, stitches purple alien friend! Patricia said she followed her out of the store because Serenity loved her so much 🥰.
Dinner was amazing. We’ve gotten the hang of cruise dinner because people got multiple appetizers, desserts, even entrees. I got a fried Brie with cranberry chutney, potato and leek soup, streak with bearnaise sauce, and Marilyn and I shared an apple tart, crepe brûlée and soufflé with grand marnier creme anglaise. I am stuffed to the brim and I didn’t even order the most food
