Cruise Day 2

Cruise Day Two!  We started the day early with our Disney junior character breakfast!  The kids were sleeeeepy but so cute in their costumes!  Maia wore her Sophia dress and got to see Sophia the First!  DZ wore the Jake costume he wore to our first Disney Adventure when he was just three.  So cute!  We met Vampirina, which Maia informed me they watched at Grandma’s so she was excited about her bat wing ears.  We saw Doc, who Maia had already met at the kid’s club.  We saw Mickey and of course Sophia, who examined Maia’s amulet of Avalon carefully and Maia was just thrilled! The French toast was ridiculous.  Eric loved all the croissants and cinnamon rolls the waiters walked around offering, which was good since he accidentally ordered chocolate chip pancakes.

We were walking down the hallway and happened to see Jessie with no line waiting to see her! Such fun! Jessie noticed Serenity had a braid just like her!  It was so fun we stayed to see Peter Pan! Serenity even let Maia try her Minnie ears.  Then we went to open house in the kids club.  They have iPads so it didn’t matter that we didn’t pack ours. 

We were on our way to the Animators class to meet Henry but we had some time so we stopped to see Belle in her blue dress! I got a picture too!  Love!

We met Henry, Jack Patricia and Eric and Donovan at the lounge where we learned to draw Mickey and Donald, the original Angry Bird.  

The kids all went on detective adventures.  Henry and Serenity were a group, DZ found Evan and Maia went to save puppies with me!  Whee!  It’s such a great game!  Maia especially loved popping balloons to save the puppies!

Today, we got to see the live musical version of Aladdin.  It was spectacular! The kids got nervous but it was really beautiful!  There were new songs and so many funny jokes!  I especially liked the carpet!  He was such a great acrobat!  All the characters were amazing.  I loved it so much, Serenity and I went again!  She enjoyed it much more the second time, and we got great seats just three rows back and on the aisle so performers went right by us!  Serenity even got a dollar thrown in the Prince Ali parade!  And she got streamers, more marigold and gold confetti to add to our treasure trove.  She kept commenting on how great a performer Jafar was.  His voice was amazing and so expressive.  She commented that when he danced in the curtain call he seemed nice so he was a great actor.  The second show was even better because there was a real” snake and evil genie instead of just a screen version.  The kids were scared enough at the matinee but it was really spectacular at the second show.  I loved Jasmine, her new song gave me chills, and a whole new world still does too.  Aladdin has amazing expressions too, and I loved how they modernized the story just a touch. He was wonderful!

We also did origami, and the kids went to the oceaneer club again to see Tinkerbell and practice their tinkering talents making wands and other goodies.  DZ went to play games and Gaga ball.  

We played shuffleboard on deck and Eric became the golf chipping champion.  He got a medal and a hat!  

While the kids were in the club I got a solo snack and then met Eric and Andrew in the atrium to play The Mind.  It was so fun!  We were having such a hilariously fun time one of the guys at guest services brought over a prize he wrapped up for the winner.  We declared Eric the winner for his hilariously on point play of the 100 card.  The prize was a Mickey Rice Krispie treat. One round, I kept my hand on the table because I had a very low card so I wanted to slow down Eric and Andrew, but they didn’t notice I wasn’t ready and played furiously several cards when I said “guys, I haven’t raised my hand yet”. I thought Eric might pass out he laughed so hard!  We all laughed until we cried.  

Dinner tonight was fancy!  Jack took some nice pictures of us and Pluto photobombed!  The kids got bored with dinner early as they had a late snack, so Eric took them to the club for Tinkerbell.  We got to linger at dinner and I got two desserts and tasted them all! Yum!  

Serenity and Henry solved so many mysteries together.
