Cruise Day 4
Pirate night!! We got to St. Kitt’s today! We left the boat briefly to wander around the port. We looked in some shops and saw a man with a monkey for pictures. It was pretty hot though and Serenity and Maia wanted to go back to the boat and I was happy to oblige. We had a rest, got some fruit and chips, and did the challenging muppet mystery! We signed up on two badges and ended up with different culprits. So cool! Many many steps.
Donovan learned the fun of dabbing. He wore this Mickey dabbing shirt for days, I could have packed way less clothes =)
Maia eagerly went to the kids club for several fun programs. She had resistance training where she called for blue squadron and helped keep the base secret. She got to see BB8 and C3po!!! She said it was droidtastic! And she went to a cooking class where she got to make cupcakes with Mickey sprinkles and chocolate shavings. And she went again to go to Neverland with Peter Pan and stole captain hook’s ship! Perfect fun for pirate night! We went to open house there too and I got to make a pirate ship with her.
She and DZ wore their costumes today. My little parrot went with me and Eric for a picture with Captain Jack Sparrow! He kept marveling that she was so tall and he offered her a cracker. Too funny! We took pictures with Captain Hook and Smee and they seemed excited to see a parrot too! The best was Daisy Duck pirate though. They flew like birds together all around the balcony and she helped come up with a pirate parrot name. Squeakers squawkers. So cute!

Serenity’s nose is a bit runny today so she needed a bit extra quiet and downtime, but she still enjoyed herself. She loved the muppet mystery and tried something new at the edge.
Donovan stayed longer at St Kitts. He and Evan climbed this really big tree that had tipped so its roots were showing. Fun!! and he and Evan managed to finish the muppet mystery in 40 minutes so they could meet Eric for Captain Jack, but then they left before the picture to have their own fun. They got to learn pizarro! Eric’s getting lots of games in the evenings after the kids are in bed and more in the daytime too :) so fun!
I went to see the new Aladdin movie. It’s spectacular!!! At first it’s hard to get used to someone besides Robin Williams as the genie but Will Smith is fantastic and makes it his own. The new music gave me chills and the whole thing was just amazing. And I love all the changes too! So great.
I got done just in time for Mickeys Pirate Dance Party! Dz and Maia were perched on towel boxes so we snuggled and sang and wiggles to the pirate music. When Captain Hook invaded we showed him all we learned about being a good pirate crew. We said Aye aye captain and arrr as we showed off our sword moves and sang a pirates life for me! Captain Hook is a codfish. Then MAia saw someone with glow stuff and she wished she had some and when I went by the room on the way to dinner I found glow stuff in everyone’s pocket! She was thrilled! She wore the compasses we had brought and gave one of the extras to a little pirate girl she had met in the kids club. They were both so thrilled!
Dinner was fun. I think our waiters know we can enjoy jokes so they put fuzzy rats on the table, let the kids scare us with horse head masks, and gave a special cookie with a plastic roach under them. I screamed satisfactorily at Aidan the horse .
After dinner we headed to the deck for the pirate party and fireworks. This time it was Captain Jack we had to impress. We sang silly pirate songs and learned what you do with a lazy pirate earlAi I. The morning. The fireworks were beautiful. I especially liked the ones shot from the front of the boat that sparkles across the sky until they met the fireworks at the back.
