December 21st: Candy Cane Hunt!

Serenity was the first up =)

Today we did our candy cane hunt!  Eric hid candy canes in different rooms for the kids, and they had fun as always!  Serenity and DZ woke up first, as usual.  They each found their candy canes, all except for one.  Both of their last ones were hidden behind the door.  So that’s a good hiding place should you need one =)  Maia found hers too and did not want any help =)

I hid a root beer candy cane for Eric to find.  It was in such a challenging space that he needed hot/cold to find it =)  At least to find it in time for work.

The rest of the day was lazy fun.  Serenity found a suggestion in one of her science books about taking apart toys, and she had a blast dismantling several cars and this old teapot toy.  She found a speaker and Eric was very proud she identified it herself =)  

Serenity swaddled her raccoon and told me she was a very productive mother =)

Maia got out her play-doh all by herself =)
