December 5th: Today we had lunch with Dad to celebrate his birthday a little early. Eric made steak and then we played Upwords. Serenity was excited to participate, we give her all the letters that get covered up, and she sat in my lap to spell words. She tried to take more letters off the board, but we told her she had to wait until we were done with them. She wrote cat, and boat, and then decided she needed to write a word that had an i. She didn’t have one, so she slid down off my lap and went to peek at Papa’s letters. Then she said in this coy little voice that “My Papa has an i!” She had this sweet little grin on her face that said, “I know he’ll give me that i! I’m cute!” We all laughed =) My other favorite moment of the day is when she woke up from her nap, Eric carried her downstairs to where I was lying on the couch. When she saw me, she smiled, held out her arms and said “I’m so happy you’re here! I’m so happy to be with Mama.” =)
Our advent calendar activity for the day was Make Presents. So we used stickers to make presents for the grandparents. No photos of these today in case they are reading =)
