December 3rd: READ Today’s advent calendar activity was to read a new book, Llama Llama Holiday Drama. We liked it, and are very excited to actually own one of the llama books, as we’ve just been checking them out from the library so far.
Serenity has a couple of new jokes… first of all pretend sneezing. She loves to sneeze and have me say bless you. She’ll run around saying “I got a bless you!” The second thing she likes to do is close her eyes. She does it randomly when she’s swinging, or just playing, and she’ll tell me that she’s doing it intentionally. Today I thought she fell asleep in the car on the way home, but she was just pretending. After we sat in the driveway a few minutes, she said (with eyes still closed) “We’re home! I can get out of the car!” And proceeded to try and walk to the front door with her eyes closed. Pretty sure she peeked because she didn’t run into to too many things. =)
The biggest excitement of the day was Barrett’s birthday party though, which I’ve described thoroughly at http://cleverfaeries.blogspot.com. It was a blast!
