In July we went with Jack, Patricia and Bobby to a farmers market in Santa Cruz which featured a salsa festival! It was a lot of fun, and we bought a lot of yummy fresh fruit and vegetables. We also participated in the salsa contest, sampling every salsa they had to offer! Even Eric tried some, although he got one that was too spicy for him (of course, the rest of us thought it very mild =) The best was the peach salsa, very tasty! I also liked the tomatillo salsa. It was nothing like it would have been in Texas though, mostly very mild to barely medium salsas. Tasty though.
