Donovan in September
We’ve started having dates with the older kids so they get more one on one time. For his first date with Eric, he asked to go play mini-golf. They had a blast! Donovan handled it really well, he was excited and happy and didn’t get frustrated. For his first date with me, he wanted to sew =) We went to Jo-ann’s and bought supplies for his costume. While we were there, he also saw an awesome storm trooper head craft, so we got that and came home and colored it together. And we got ice cream at Cherry Berry. So fun! He had another date with Eric, board games time. They hid in the lego room upstairs and played Legendary.
Donovan and Serenity discovered emojis this morning. These are now the most used emojis on my phone ⚡️☣⚔

In September they had their first lemonade stand! It was actually a Zoo-sponsored event. They had kits you could take and use to raise money for the Lost Kingdom exhibit at the Zoo. I was thrilled, because they had asked several times to have a lemonade stand, and they LOVE the big cats at the zoo, especially the tigers and snow leopards. I was really proud of them. I posted on our neighborhood site that they would be open for two hours, and they both stayed out there the entire time. They didn’t have a lot of customers, and they persevered through boredom and stuck with it. They did have a few visitors, mostly neighbors, and a nice visit from Rosario, Esteban and Ryan!
Donovan loves swim lessons. He’s actually swimming more than dog-paddling! He listens carefully to what the teacher asks him to do.
