I didn't journal at all for August yet! Well, except for Tahoe. Time to get caught up =)
DZ's first day of school! He said he wants to be an astronaut, which I thought was cool until Eric told me he'd explained to DZ how the earth is eventually going to blow up in the sun, and being an astronaut is his plan for escape.
Back to school for Donovan was exciting and a little nerve-wracking. I worried that he'd miss all the people that moved on to EP. But he was thrilled that he gets to go four days instead of only three, and he is very happy! He especially loves his classmate Shira. In gym class one day they were doing a silly song called Tony Chestnut. They do different moves with it, like touching your toes, knees, etc. Well at one point they say I love you and Shira and Donovan reached across the circle to each other every time. We went to Shira's house for a play date and it was awesome. Maia played with the older girls, and everything was so much fun and relaxed. We all had a great time! Donovan tells me so much about his school days, it's awesome. He sings his Science Time song, and the Egyptian Time Period song. So cute.
Excellent Dr. appointment for DZ. He's healthy, he didn't cry at the shots. Important note in case you take him to the bathroom, he told the doctor "My pee is like a laser beam!"
Donovan was so helpful during the move. He gets the title of Packing King. He asked if he could pack boxes every day and then he wanted to unpack them when they were in the new house! He chose the car room for his bedroom, and he has a big bed in it. He loves it! He is very happy to have the games and all his toys back. He gets better at gaming every day. He had been begging for skylanders almost since we first packed them, so he's glad they are back to say the least. And he's played several games of Disney Eye Found It, Lost Puppies, and X-men. X-men is his favorite right now.
