The activity from today’s advent calendar was to go for a drive to see Christmas lights. I think Serenity enjoyed looking for the lights, after we found another nice set, she’d say “more!” We drove around our neighborhood and enjoyed a lot of beautiful displays. There was also a little chocolate snowman! I let her eat the head of the snowman first thing in the morning, and it was very cute. She said “mmm, delicious!” and asked for “more choclate!” (that’s not a typo, that’s how it sounds) It’s amazing to me how much Serenity can say now. She can even say really long words. Her Daddy’s current game is trying to get her to say “declaration of independence.” Ironically, she won’t say the “of”, but she’ll say the other two words, smile and clap. She’s also started clapping and cheering to praise her Daddy when he says it. She doesn’t understand it of course, I mentioned that I was decorating the tree, and she grinned and said “declaration!”
