December 24th: Christmas Eve
Today was a very lazy day =) The kids made an applique Christmas ornament that really turned out cute! Serenity did hers all by herself =) We also completed our lego winter carousel! It is SO much fun! The kids love that they can turn it with the crank. I almost want to do another lego set like this for the month of January. A little bit of legos every day sounds like fun to me =)
After Eric got home from work we got to Skype with Ann and John and open presents with them. The kids were so excited about the presents they got distracted from the conversation, but they were very very happy! Maia preferred the computer to her present actually, she got an adorable dress but trying to grab Farfar and Vanaema on the computer was more fun.
Our advent activity for the day was to watch our home movies from the year. I go through and edit together the best of the videos for us, but even so it was more than an hour of movies. Lots of cute school programs and dancing to "Let it Go" made it pretty long. =) It was so fun to see how the kids have changed this year. And Maia was fascinated by seeing us on the television. She kept looking at the tv and then looking over at DZ like, "how did he get in there?" She also loved the movies of us reading to her.
