Serenity woke up before everyone else this morning, just vibrating with excitement over the advent calendars. I let her go peek in the bag but she waited for Donovan to do the Lego advent, because she said he might be confused if he goes down and finds just his bag in the lego advent and not hers. Sweet =)
Today's we had puzzles in the advent calendar! I got Maia the chunky wooden reindeer puzzle that I've been wanting since Serenity was just a little too old to get it for =) She loved taking it apart and eating it, so that was a hit. Serenity and DZ got a 100 piece Frozen puzzle. It was really fun! Plus the puzzle had nine differences for them to spot between the actual puzzle and the picture on the front of the box, so a puzzle in a puzzle.
We went shopping at Target to get the lights for the peach trees and something fun for the playdate on Friday. We ran into Jennifer and Barrett there, which was awesome! And convenient for me since Barrett could pick his own lego set out for his birthday =)
Thanks to Maia's extra long nap today, the kids room was pretty clean, so we decided to do some decorating. We wanted a Frozen ice palace for our playdate on Friday, so we transformed the mermaid mansion by building a crazy fort castle and adding lights and snowflakes. Then the kids put up their pink tree. Serenity said, "it's just not a holiday without purple snowflakes." =)
