Hi.

Welcome!

December 1st: Sing

December 1st!

Advent calendar and bag =)

Today's Advent activity was "Sing!" This is one of my favorites because I absolutely adore Christmas music. I listen to it in July sometimes =) I'm also really excited about the gift I put in the Advent bag. It's an internet radio that can run radio stations, Pandora, even music from our computers. Eric and I are not very good about turning on music, and I feel bad about that because the kids love it! And I love singing and dancing with them, it's just not something I think to do. Well, hopefully the nifty new radio helps. It's been playing all day! Pentatonix Holiday station. =) As for the singing, well we had to be flexible about that this morning since I woke up with absolutely no voice! Serenity dancing in front of the Christmas tree to music on the new radio was the perfect answer =)

I told the kids we could check the advent calendar once we got Daddy =)

Dancing to our tunes =)

The DIY Lego advent calendar got just the reaction I hoped for. Both kids were thrilled and Serenity keeps saying, "I just can't wait until tomorrow!!" I gave them the carousel horses, saddles and trim today. DZ has visited his horse several times, and named it Fire. And Serenity's is Sparkle Flower.

Legos!!!

I had a great day, listening to Christmas music and sewing dog stockings. =) In the car, we had our favorite Laurie Berkner Christmas cd for the long drive to school and swimming. =)

Love this funny guy =)

I should probably mention that I got hit by a deer driving home, but as we all walked away just fine I'm letting it go =)

Oh! I forgot more favorite moments of the day! Serenity was entertaining Maia in the car while we were letting DZ sleep before swimming lessons, when she said, "Can we have cookies?" They sell cookies at swimming, and I usually don't buy them. I told her since she had her wallet, if she wanted to buy a cookie for her and one for DZ, that she could use her own money to buy cookies. She thought about it for awhile, and said, "Well, I had a cupcake at school for Arjun's birthday at school, would a cupcake and a cookie in the same day give me a tummy ache?" She decided that it would, but then she said she still wanted to buy a cookie for DZ. So she spent her own money on a cookie for Donovan and chose not to get one for herself since she'd already had a sweet treat. Love her!!! Donovan heard the UPS men deliver a bunch of boxes to the front porch, and when I was too busy holding Maia to get them, he got all bundled up and carried them all in himself. "I'm a strong boy!"

December 2nd: Puzzles. And more decorations =)
