Hi.

Welcome!

Donovan in September

DZ made this in school. When he came down, he wanted to finish them. He colored every inch, and when I congratulated him for working so hard, he said, I'm not done! And he flipped it over and colored every inch of the other side =) 9/28

LC:"Let's settle this like men!" Right before running after Barrett. DZ ran after him shouting, "Me too!!!"

Barrett and Casey came to our house for a sleepover. It was the best!!!

Donovan started another soccer class! Eric was impressed one day with his speed. They were playing a game of tag where when you get tagged you hold hands and keep chasing the kids. Donovan dodged one of the monsters four times, and kept tangling them up! He got caught by a second tag monster after he ducked behind the goal to dodge the first, but he did a great job! He loves kicking the ball and speaks right up when his coaches ask questions. He practices bouncing balls in the air and kicking them constantly.

All his school papers come home in shades of blue, green and orange =) And notice he's starting to trace his name!

Donovan and his friend Taylor made an amazing block structure =)

He LOVES eating with his chopsticks.

Donovan loves sidewalk chalk! He and Serenity have nearly covered the entire patio with solid chalk! And when we went to the fair one day he worked for a good fifteen minutes on a drawing. He wanted to fill in his whole square. He has good focus =)

We had a little trouble this month at school. On the morning the school sang the National Anthem together, he really did not want to stay at school. It was such a surprise, as he had been so enthusiastic about school and happy every day he was picked up. He said his stomach hurt, but I think it was just because he felt really nervous or worried as he was fine when I took him home. After that we had a couple more bad drop offs, but then we created his Super Student Big Boy Chart, at Jen's suggestion. He gets a sticker every time he doesn't whine at drop off. After three stickers, we do a family game night and DZ chooses the game. It worked like a charm! We have only had one close call since, and he's up to nine stickers. Whew. Even though drop off had been bad, his teachers assured me he was happy and that he enjoyed and participated the rest of the day.

I got to volunteer at school picture day =) DZ got a new tie, which he calls his Ziggy Zaggy tie. It's green and navy chevron, and just a perfect match for Ziggy Zaggy the dino. =) Love it! So excited to see how the pics turn out!

They spent all summer in these trees =)

Zoo trip =) The kids wanted to go through the buildings
