December 20th:
Last night as Serenity and Donovan were getting ready to sleep by the Christmas tree, Maia made some unhappy noises. Donovan looked up, alarmed, and said, "What's wrong with baby?" I told her she was ok, just lonely. He said, "Baby sleep with us?" So sweet =) He watches over diaper changes right now and lets us know when she's sleeping.
Today we took Maia to the doctor. Her bilirubin was a bit high at the hospital, which is why we had the follow up so soon. She had to get her heel pricked again, but she tested much better today so we don't have to go back for two weeks. Other than that, everything seems great! And she nursed while we were there, so we weighed her before and after for fun, and she gained two ounces. So she's nursing well, and my milk is in!
The advent activity for the day was getting a new app for the ipad. I got the new Mo Willems app and a truck building app. They were a big hit! And Christmas fruit snacks as a special treat =)
Mom, Alex and his business partner, Xin Yuan, brought dinner over for us. We had a great time, opening presents with Grandma, and then playing a few games and hanging out with Alex and Xin Yuan. Alli and Don came by later to give them a ride back to Jen's, so Maia got to meet several more people!
