Dad built Serenity a secret room! Eric and I helped some, but it was mostly Dad. He put in electrical outlets, lights, built walls, insulated them, put in an airduct (although he said that Airduct should really have done that ;) and now it’s painted white! All that remains to be done is another coat of paint (maybe in a color, maybe just white) and then figuring out floor coverings and wall decorations. I think Serenity will love it! Mom said it would be the hit of the house, and Eric is petitioning to switch bedrooms with Serenity so he can have the secret room ;) If you visit us you can try to find it!
So much happened in the last six days! The popcorn is GONE!!! All that is left to do is some sanding, and they should finish tomorrow. This did push back moving day a few days, but I am so thrilled with the clean pretty ceilings! Yippee!!!!! Eric realized that he doesn’t ever look up though, so the ceilings are not such a big deal for him. But he is happy that I am happy with it, even though he was a little sad about moving moving day.
The Pod still arrived as scheduled, so we transferred all the stuff to the garage! Just in time to save a month’s rent! I have declared that Eric and I are the King and Queen of Tetris. Even with moving across the country and two other trips between the apartment and the house, NOTHING moved!!! That’s right! It was packed so tight and so well everything made it! We didn’t break anything =) Yippee!!! Eric also did lots of other little house chores like starting to caulk our west wall outside where the paint has tiny dings so that water can’t get in and ruin our siding. And he’s starting to kill ants in the shed we hope to craigslist soon.
