Hi.

Welcome!

December 2nd: Christmas Lights at Rhema

We went to see the lights at Rhema tonight =)  I promise, our entire advent isn't this busy, but for obvious reasons I put most of the complicated things the first week.  We picked up Eric at work and had Red Robin for dinner, and then we went to see the lights.  They are truly spectacular.  This year I printed a little scavenger hunt for Serenity, which was a big hit.  She'd drop to the ground whenever she'd find something on the list to check off, usually right in front of a lot of people.  We found all but three things on the list!  Donovan's goal was to find green lights.  When he found some he could get close to, he had Daddy pose with him and say the green lantern chant.  Too cute =)  Serenity's favorite thing was this huge swirly candy.  It was enormous.  Eric liked the arches that look like they're dancing around to the music.  I have a hard time picking, but I always love the lighted tunnel, and this year there were some really pretty balls of light up in one tree.  The kids were starting to get a little whiny by the end (two evenings of outings in a row is a bit much for us =) , but Eric promised them if they were very helpful at the end of the visit, we'd take a detour to drive through more lights.  Worked like a charm, and they went right to bed as they promised Daddy they would.  Serenity again is extremely excited to see her Legos in the morning =) IMG_3762 IMG_3766 IMG_3770 IMG_3771 IMG_3787 IMG_3774_forweb IMG_3780_forweb IMG_3801_forweb
