Actually, this was several days ago... and I haven't posted anything for Serenity for February either =) So maybe there'll be a couple of posts up tonight!

Donovan wants to make sure his sister gets some of whatever he gets, whether or not she wants it. If he wants cheerios, he asks for two bowls so sis can have one. He wants to take it to her too. Serenity usually loves it, but occasionally tries to explain that she isn't hungry. That never works =)

Donovan is 21 months! He's such a big boy. He's still such a snuggly boy. He often says "I wove you Mama." It sounds just like that and completely melts me. So sweet. He has very specific bedtime plans. Mama reads books, preferably lying down with him in her bed. Then Daddy puts him in bed and pats him until he falls asleep. This usually leads to Daddy falling asleep holding Donovan's hand, which is precisely his plan. We've even moved Serenity's second mattress into Donovan's room, since Daddy falls asleep all the time with this sweet bedtime routine.
He really loves Serenity. It's so cute to hear him talk about her, or ask about her when she's at school. We were at Abbey's birthday, and Serenity was upset about something. He went over to her and said "Why cryin Sis? Huuuuuuug. =)" And he followed this up with a very long hug until Serenity was giggling instead of crying.
He knows all the upper case letters, and most of their sounds now! We've started to play Super Why games at pbskids.org. He also sings the alphabet song. He doesn't really say all the letters, but he says a lot of them! He really loves music, and adores music class. It's so fun to watch him participate, doing all the motions! He really gets into drumming too. I think he might want real music lessons when he's bigger.
