December 12th: 12/12/12!!!! Eric said his birthday was perfect! He loved it, and it was a ton of fun for the rest of us too! When he woke up, he wasn't allowed to come downstairs until Serenity came to get him. Strangely, I was the first one up, and then Serenity. Normally Donovan wakes us up! So Serenity helped me set up all the presents we'd wrapped yesterday so Daddy was surprised when he came downstairs. He got 12 gift certificates for games from people, so he got his 12 people for his 12/12/12 extravaganza after all. He also got 12 new games! And, he said they all sounded like fun!! He opened the IPAD first, to find the Ticket To Ride App had been installed. Then he got Dr. Mario for the wii! Now we'll see who is better, since it has been a point of contention for us for years now =) Here are the rest of the games: Angry Birds mini catapult game, Minute to Win it card game, the Cat in the Hat I Can Do That, portable ping-pong, Pentominos Puzzles, Logic Links, Boochie, Ogosport disks, Castle Panic, and 12.) Once Upawn a Time (teaching chess to kids game). Whew. Lots of fun in store for us!

Then I went to Serenity's school program. She did a great job singing the medley of Candy Man, On the Good Ship Lollipop, and Remember December. So cute! Dad got a movie for us so Eric can see it later. Then Serenity was off to a sleepover with Aunt Jen, where she got a Hello Kitty nightgown. Donovan stayed with Papa until bedtime. And I headed home for 12/12/12!
Eric had the games all set up. Gavin came down from Norman, and then we were ready! We played 12 games, and it did take us slightly over 12 hours. One of my favorite moments was when we played Ticket to Ride. We each had to keep 12 tickets! And Eric managed to finish every single one!!! Amazing! He was so thrilled he yelled really loud, which made me panic in case Donovan woke up, because I wanted to keep playing =)
