Hi.

Welcome!

December 21st: Muddy Hill =)

Today was such a busy day! At least picture wise. :). I took 171 pictures as opposed to yesterdays zero. Eric picked the Advent activity, which was morning muddy hill. This is a game Eric and Serenity play that involves Eric sandwiching himself between Serenity's mattresses to make it into a hill and Serenity jumping from her book club on top of the hill and rolling down. She was so excited when she read the plan! They had a blast and Donovan got to participate too by crawling up the hill.

we spent the whole day at home having fun. I finished up making a gift for Donovan with lots of help from Serenity. She pushed the foot pedal on the sewing machine and pulled the needle when I was hand sewing. I will probably post pics of the project soon on my clever faeries site http://cleverfaeries.blogspot.com.

Serenity had an accident that led to 45 minutes of crying. She was trying to pull out the drawer where her bowls are and she did it so violently the drawer flew out right onto her toe. Poor baby. She refused ice and just wanted kisses for it. We even called Daddy for kisses. It is definitely bruised. What finally distracted her from the pain was crafting. She spent hours on scissor practice, made a really adorable Christmas tree, did more glue dotting and glittering, and wove another spiderweb. I love that she enjoys crafting!!!!! In the evening Grandma came by to open presents and have dinner. She got Donovan several awesome and tasty new books, and Serenity got a box full of new Lego duple people. She was most excited to have the doctors. She didn't understand the bad guy though.

Donovan gave me a hug today. I was carrying him around on my hip and he just leaned his little head to my shoulder to cuddle for a minute. I absolutely love that feeling. Such a sweet moment. He holds his hands up to be picked up now. He is such a sweet, affectionate and calm baby. He loves to giggle at his sister and has the same tickle spots she and I do. He loves to pull up to stand now and looks so adorably excited now that he can do it. I love him so so much.
