12/18 For today’s advent we enjoyed some yummy hot chocolate =) I had cinnamon (which Serenity chose for me because she said it’s my favorite) Serenity had raspberry, and Eric went for plain chocolate.
Today was Barrett’s birthday party! We went over to their house (which two weeks ago was my Mom’s house. My mom and sister are insanely good movers.) Jen cooked some great food and we had a blast hanging out and playing. Serenity played outside with her cousins for hours since the weather was gorgeous. Donovan was pretty sleepy as he missed his nap, but he had fun talking with Uncle Mike. =) Barrett visited with him a lot too. Barrett is so sweet with Donovan. He got a gift card to Target, and he told Jen he wants to go buy Donovan a present with it. Yesterday he kept asking what Donovan’s favorite toys were so he’d know what to go get him, and he put on a Backyardigan show he thought Donovan would like and held him in his lap to watch it. Sooo sweet =)
Serenity was very excited to deliver the presents she wrapped. As Barrett tried to open his through all the layers of masking tape, he exclaimed, “She’s REALLY good at wrapping!” The boys really liked the chef’s hats I made them, and Casey gave me a huge hug =)
