Today will get two posts, because Donovan is six months old! But first, the December Daily update =)
We moved our Candy Cane Hunt up to today! Donovan had a bit of trouble sleeping on his own last night so Daddy ended up hiding all the candy canes… so I got to have fun on the hunt as well! Serenity was SO excited. Every time she found a candy cane she’d giggle and skip/hop over to it with glee! Her sweet laugh is so beautiful. It made Donovan pretty excited too =)
We spent the rest of the morning over at Papa’s house, and he fixed us his traditional oatmeal and cinnamon toast. Serenity asks for it every time we go, which is good as it means I don’t have to ask. =) She swung and watched Dora while Papa and Donovan played in the floor, and I got a lot of sewing done! Donovan showed off his “da da da” sounds for Papa, and Dad managed to get him to make one “pa.” Won’t be long before he can say Papa =) Such a wonderful day!
We gave Donovan a taste of applesauce in honor of his birthday. He wasn’t very excited about it in the morning, so Daddy tried again in the evening. I think all he wants is the spoon. He doesn’t mind, but he doesn’t really open his mouth for more bites either. He just waves those hands trying to get the spoon!
Serenity dressed up as Tinkerbell and jumped around her room for awhile, then she wanted to go fly outside. She got fuzzy pants on herself and told me she needed her jacket, but her Tinkerbell wings wouldn’t work with it! So we pulled out her rainbow wings so she could fly =)
