Hi.

Welcome!

Games 2004

This year, our favorite outdoor games were probably basketball, frisbeegolf, softball and mini-golf. Eric got Andrea to start playing some wiffleball, basketball and Frisbee golf, which was great fun and new to her. He proved that she's not a klutz, at least to his satisfaction if not Andrea's =) At Christmas time, Chrissie's family descended on Jenks and played a great game of Calvinball. Basically, they had a soccer ball and a football game going on at the same time, with no rules. He also enjoyed playing basketball with Alek, Kyle, Brandon and KaLynn during the year. They're all great at basketball. Chrissie played some basketball, but she mostly excels in pig and Around the World. And she beat Eric in Around the World a few times =) There is a park near Eric's house in Cali, so we went there a lot for Frisbee and to mess around with softball. Eddie came over when he's not in L.A. and he and Eric like to shoot arrows, kayak, dance dance revolution, throw anything, hit each other with sticks… just about everything.

As for indoor games, we had several new favorites. We played Puerto Rico all the time. It's a strategy game with many intriguing ways to win. We recently bought a card version called San Juan that's also good. We played a lot of Apples to Apples and Catchphrase when we had party games. And as always we played bridge. When we moved to Cali we were very happy to be playing real bridge with Ann and John instead of just two-player bridge.

Chrissie started a dnd campaign for Eric, Gavin and Jennie while we were in Oklahoma. The campaign went through a major twist, coincidentally at the same time as we had to start playing the campaign over the internet. Also, Eric got some Californians interested in trying it out, and he started some campaigns for them.
