Hiking is something that Ann, Eric's mom particularly loves to do. She invited us to come with her on a hike up Mission Peak... Normally Chrissie likes to hike a lot too, but this was basically up a mountain, with no trees on a hot day! The company was nice but probably this is the only time she'll do this particular trail!

We also went on a camping trip with John, Ann, Tina, and some friends of theirs, Ann and Paul. We stayed in an actual tent, roasted marshamallows and went on a beautiful hike. Chrissie tends to treat these as nature walks so she often falls behind because she's looking at clover or fungus or watherfalls. Eric kept her company though. The next day we wandered back up to the creek and John, Eric and Tina played with making dams in the river. On the drive back we stopped at the beach and I had fun making a little Zen garden out of rocks, seashells and whatever else I could find. It looked like a little city when I was done.
