Our new apartment!
We got a new apartment! Brand-new in fact, we’re the first people to live there. It has a washer and dryer, which was my one requirement. It is less than a mile from my work, so I often walk to the warehouse. We’ve really enjoyed having our own place. We’ve had many game nights, dinners and guests. I have particularly enjoyed the decorating. We bought a microfiber sofa. Our dining room table belonged to my Grandma Bair. It’s an antique. Recovering the chairs was my first decorating project for the apartment. I did them in blue and white to go with our dishes. We bought a beautiful half sleigh bed from Macy’s and a desk for me from Pottery Barn. In the office we have a collection of antique maps on the wall. Eventually I want some for all the places we’ve traveled. The second Saturday of the month we rotate the decorations we have out, so we get to enjoy all our stuff and the apartment is never cluttered. I also finally made the large mosaic coaster Aunt Jan helped me make into a table. Tina found the desk that we mounted it on in the trash! The table is on our patio now. I’m very pleased with all the decorations. My next project is to make Christmas ornaments, because I am determined to have a Christmas tree this year. I plan on doing a lot of silver and reds. I think Eric’s favorite part of our new home is the “linen” closet. It is completely packed with games.

I recovered these myself!

My pretty dishes =)

On the subject of decorating, my faerie collection got some neat new additions. I bought a faerie glen faerie last year, and my very wonderful husband added two more to my collection so now I have three. Holishimmer, Delphinia and Chrysanthia.
