Hi all! Here are excerpts from my journaling for Serenity in Month Three! She's growing so fast! It's amazing to watch her learn new things daily! She's such a sweetheart, and very happy most of the time =) We're having issues with spit up at the moment which occasionally makes her grumpy =) And she's very used to having Mama around. When I left her with Daddy she suddenly decided that she hates bottles! We're going to work on that a bit! Enjoy the pictures and stories! She'll be three months next Thursday, and I'm sure I'll update with some new fancy pictures then!
When Serenity is really crying, it sounds like “La.” We decided she’s grouchy smurf when she’s unhappy. =)

Over the weekend, Serenity started to push up on her chest! It seemed really sudden to me, like one day she just decided she could hold her head up 90 degrees and lift her chest! I could get her whole face in a picture! It was amazing! And then at Henry’s shower, she pushed all the way up with her hands, like a pushup! And rolled like crazy =) She’s so active! She was very entertaining at the party, smiling and talking to everyone, and showing off her rolling and pushups =) Everyone loved her red polka dot dress. Patricia even said she wanted one in her size =)

She can grab stuff with her hands! It’s so neat, she suddenly trying to do things with her hands. She managed to get both hands on her nifty wooden and elastic toy that’s shaped like an isocahedron(twenty sides, yes, Daddy made me look it up). And of course, it immediately went in her mouth. She can do the same with her froggy rattle now. I think those two are her favorite toys. She’s always fascinated by the noises they make, and now she can kinda hold them!
![]() She loves to swing like a pendulum in my arms =) Yay baby activity book that Jen sent me for my birthday. She gets a big smile and sticks out her tongue.
She “flies” with Eric. Juan was flying Aidan when they came over one Tuesday, and Eric tried it with Serenity. She loved it! It’s funny though, she drools a lot when she flies. So Eric has to have a burp cloth to protect his face. I prefer that he fly the baby when he’s lying down or just over his body rather than way up in the air. She’s still very little!
![]() ![]() I bought her some clothes! A Christmas dress and a monkey sweater. They are SO cute. Now that I’ve started to buy her things, I don’t know if I can stop. It was SO much fun. I’ve put away all her newborn clothes to get out her 3-6 month clothes. She can still wear the newborn stuff, but it’s getting to be a struggle. Plus, if we don’t get them out now she won’t have a chance to wear all her 3-6 month stuff, as most of it is for warmer weather. =)

We took Serenity to Toys R Us for the first time and bought her some toys! We had just been playing with all the wonderful things people got us, but I wanted a few specific things. We got a shape sorter. I know she’s way too young to sort, but I wanted some small things that she can grab. Most of her toys are kind of big! Of course, now she’s having a good time grabbing on to her stuffed horse, (which Eric named Hay) and the Taggies ball she gave Eric for Father’s Day. (She holds that ball with her feet sometimes. I think she’ll enjoy soccer =) She’s getting really good with her hands, she holds her clothes and burp cloths all the time, and her froggy rattle too. We also bought her a piano that she can play by kicking, as that’s one of her favorite activities. =)
![]() ![]() ![]() We took Serenity to the park! She enjoyed lying on her back and looking up at the trees =) And there was an interesting breeze =) Eric took this group picture of us that was he’d been wanting to do. So much fun! I love the little hat Aunt Tina made her =) We went again once after that, and to the park for softball
