Serenity has always been a water baby. The first bath we gave her, I was taking a movie, and I had to look up from the camera to see if she was even in the water, because she was absolutely quiet! She loves the bath! She started sitting up for her baths around 6 months because she discovered splashing and her baby pool became a huge mess. She loves to splash in the tub, and she loves her bathtub toys! Now Eric usually gets in the tub with her. She doesn’t complain about getting her hair washed, or rinsed. She loves to play with cups in the water. Yes, she learned to drink that way, even if it is a little icky she loves it so much =) She loves her rubber ducks, and used to walk around with one in her mouth like it was a pacifier. I think this is why her first word was “quack!” Now when Eric asks her if she wants a bath, she’ll get up and lead the way to the bathroom, sometimes trying to climb in the tub before I even get her clothes off. She also has learned to love swimming in the hippo pool Dad got her, and splashing in the sprinklers. It is too cute to watch! She especially loves climbing in and out of the hippo on her own. She will splash (and say splash) and smile so sweetly! The sprinklers are interesting. At first she really didn’t know what to make of them. But she saw a dandelion she just had to pick, so she walked to the edge and pulled it even though the sprinkler was going in her face. Now she’ll walk to the edge of the sprinkler and wave her hands back and forth in it. Yay Water!
