Backyardigans: This is a recent addition to our tv set, but I love it. The music is much less repetitive than Dora and Diego. The adventures they have are such fun, and it has let to a lot of dress up and pretend play. Serenity loves to pretend that she is one of the Backyardigans, usually Austin or Uniqua.
Dora/Diego: Serenity loves this show so much Papa made her more than 30 dvds with episodes he taped on his tv for her. Sometimes she goes to his house and sits in the swing in his living room and swings for hours watching Dora. Two of her favorite things, swinging and Dora! I personally prefer the Diego episodes, and Serenity definitely loves learning things about animals. We often pretend to rescue animals! And one day I made her a little jungle and we brought all her animals there, using binoculars we made out of cardboard tubes.
Super Why: We watched this more at the beginning of the year. Now we only occasionally watch a show, although we still read the books and pretend to be Super Readers a lot.
Tinkerbell: We got the third Tinkerbell movie, The Great Fairy Rescue, and Serenity likes it much more than the second one, and it spurred a new fairy addiction. Now she will pretend to sprinkle us with pixie dust so we can fly, and we pretend to be fairies. I’m usually a garden fairy. =)
Tangled Leapfrog Dvds: I bought Lets Go to School, and she still loves the Word Caper, Math Circus, and Word Factory dvds. Little Bear Ni Hao Kai Lan
