Serenity's 16th Birthday Update
Serenity is 16!!!! I can’t believe it! It’s actually easy to forget as she has no interest in driving. ;) She loves creating complex fantasy worlds and dreams up different magic systems, and has special characters that she likes to insert in each of her worlds in different stories. She loves kitsunes and other magical creatures, and chooses soft colors and cozy fabrics. She still loves her cozy bed that replaced her cardboard nest, and sleeps with piles of stuffed animals. She loved her first year of high school and learned so much! She rocked advanced biology and wants to do lots of science and more math next year! She is such a sweet girl and I love being her Mama!! August 2024: Sera’s 15th Birthday Room Update is complete!
August 2023: Serenity is Freshman! Freshman Schedule Acquired! She has to change buildings between every class and we don’t seem to know when lunch is or drop off procedures but we made a lot of progress .
Back to School 2024!
September 2023: Sera sent me this selfie from a school dance. She went in, grabbed some snacks, looked around and was done infiltrating. ;)

Halloween 2023: Sera is Lumine the Traveler from a game she plays and writes fanfiction for. 🥰
Sera sang yesterday at the Anniversary Show of her music and acting studio. She chose just the perfect song, Wondering. So beautiful!
December 2023: Sera’s Show! Sera sang Speechless and performed a hilarious scene with her drama teacher. She played Rumplestiltskin from Once Upon a Time and was delightfully wicked.

Christms 2023! Sera has been wrapped in this blanket DZ got her snuggled in her new bean bag all day. She had a very cozy Christmas!
January 2024: Sera and I went shopping at the mall! She chose this cute dress and a very soft oversized sweater.
February 2024: Sera’s major accomplishment was shearing through the bolt holding up her swing! She swung so hard for so many years it broke right off and she went flying! Fortunately she held on to the other side and didn’t break herself. ;)
Easter 2024: Dragons! Sera loved that the clue was on the back of a wooden jigsaw puzzle, they are one of her favorite things! She does them so many times she can do them upside down =)
Spring BREAK 2024! Spring BREAK! We’re staying home this week and the girls wanted a mini advent calendar with some activities. We had brunch and books, watched the Eras Tour on Disney Plus and made so many bracelets, had green crepes for St. Patrick’s day, and lots more fun!

We have taken to exchanging bitmoji’s when I am waiting to pick her up. This particular one comes up in conversation a LOT!
May 2024: Crazy hair, don’t care. As long as she has Red Berries all is right with the world.
Sera’s Spring Drama Show with Michele Ross Studios! She sang Shy, and did a couple of scenes! I loved her look for her indie artist skit. She got to perform four times with very different skills, from musical theater to drama to comedy, and both solo and with partners! I so appreciate how Michele fosters her abilities!!!! 🤩🥰. And she gave 16 bows. Maia counted 😜🤩🥰
May 2024: Renaissance Fair! Sera wore her costume from her Spring show that she used when she sang Shy! It was a perfect vibe!
Sera had a hats off to summer day for the last day of finals. I think she is really enjoying the beanie esthetic. She got two hundreds and two 98s on todays finals so she evidently learned a LOT her freshman year!
Sera won a Trojan’s Choice award! She was nominated by her Oklahoma History teacher because she was such an enthusiastic participant in his class! It was quite a surprise that she loved that class, because she had taken Oklahoma History before and thought she would be bored, but the teacher was a passionate speaker and included current events and she thrived in that class!
May 2024: Sera actually spoke to a classmate to ask for a picture with the snakes that visited her Advanced Biology class. She loves the sneks!
June 2024: Sera went on a road trip with Eric and John to a cousin’s wedding in Iowa! She loves road trips!
Sera snuggled on a beanbag with an iPad is a common sight, and with the super soft yarn it was such a classic pic I had to include it.
In July Sera got to spend a week at Camp Tina! They went on a ropes course, took lots of crafting classes to make candles, ceramics, and even did a little blacksmithing! She LOVED it!
I got lots of bitmojis while she was gone. I love her!!!!
Sera July 2024: Broadway Birthday for my Drama Darling =)
When I went back to look at last year’s update, I discovered I didn’t make one! We were en route to Sweden on her birthday and I never went back! So this update will be two years of fun! When she turned 15, she had just finished middle school! She loved her drama classes with Ms. Michele, and enjoyed Odyssey of the Mind at school. Her team even got to go to worlds in Michigan! She’s reading mostly fanfiction, and enrolled in a creative writing class for next year. She snuggles up and plays lots of ipad games, sometimes with her sibbies. She says they are her best friends, which I love SO much!! I am so lucky to be her mama! I think I’ll make this it’s own post.
