Road Trip to Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana Day 4!

The last day was the day for my pick and Maia’s pick! She did the most independent research, and she found this ropes course inside a cave near Louisville Kentucky! That stop really determined our route. I found other things along the way from our house to MegaQuest Cavern, and our road trip was all set! All the kids had a blast at the course, and at a cool 58 degrees it was a perfect summer choice! We saw other ropes courses and zip lines, but I’m so glad Maia found such a cool spot!

Early in the morning we went to my spot, Bernheim Arboretum. I wanted to see the huge forest giants made by a Dutch artist, Thomas Dambo. They were just as awesome as I thought, and the weather was actually pleasant when we got there, plus it was a nice shady walk in the trees 🤩

You can give Little Elina new hair ties! The girls were happy to share!

Then we had a LONG trip home ahead of us. I planned one random stop in Indiana so we didn’t cross off a state without any real stops the kids would remember so we stopped in Santa Claus Indiana 😂. We took a pic with the town sign, which was great since we didn’t get pics at any other state signs while driving. And then we got a few cute new ornaments at the Christmas shop. Donovan finally picked a souvenir, a snowman! YAy! The kids did great and we all had such fun together! So glad Papa could come too!

We stayed in our favorite inn, the Hampton Inn and Suites. The last morning the buffet had bacon and DZ was thrilled! My favorite are the waffles and pastries =) I always get omelettes too when they have them.
